Delivering significant data to patients and healthcare when it matters.
A patient’s ability to walk (and its link to activity) is often examined as a way of understanding disease progression, and the effects of new drugs. However, current assessments used are snapshot sterile assessments during hospital visits and does not give a full perspective of the patient’s experience. These tests are often invasive and time consuming to complete, and do not produce clinically meaningful data linked to the patients’ real world expreience.
aparito is using wearable technology to passively monitor walking and activity. This is synchronized with a mobile app, which collects additional data on four key areas of the patient’s experience; medication adherence, healthcare usage, adverse events, and disease specific quality of life/ PROs. This complete data capture provides a complete overview of the patient’s condition which is relevant to all stakeholders, patients, doctors, regulators and health technology assessment agencies.
