Wayra UK start-up Baby2Body has been selected as one of 12 companies to join Mayor of London Sadiq Khan on a trade mission to India.
The initiative, led by the Mayor’s International Business Programme and London & Partners, is designed to help high-growth London-based companies identify partnerships and explore business opportunities in India.
As part of the week-long mission, the selected organisations will be given the opportunity to connect with senior-level executives during one-to-one meetings, roundtables and networking events with corporates and the wider eco-system in India.
The Mayor is visiting India to promote London as a business, study and tourism destination and to strengthen the bonds between India and the capital under the ‘London Is Open’ initiative. His International Business Programme aims to support high-growth companies to increase their export success across a range of key markets.
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “London is home to some of the most innovative and exciting tech businesses in the world and I am delighted that Baby2Body is joining me in India to show that London is open to talent, business and collaboration.”
Melinda Nicci, CEO of Baby2Body said: “With India representing one of the most engaged groups of our users, the Indian market is a key part of Baby2Body’s growth strategy. I’m looking forward to having fruitful discussions with the local business community and using this opportunity to connect with our growing audience. I’m honoured to be part of the London Mayor’s mission to promote London as open for business and to deliver on my vision of a generation of healthier mothers and babies.”
